November 11 is the day our nation pauses to honor our veterans for their service and their sacrifices. Parades are held, speeches are given and heartfelt thanks are conveyed.
November is also Month of the Military Family, honoring those who support our service men and women.

Victoria’s brother Eric is an active duty Marine. Victoria is a Parent Service Manager.
Sonya, pictured here with President Obama, is a Lt. Col. in the Army. Her sister, Mujaa, is Senior Director of National Programs.
Family of Adrienne, our Deputy Chief of Development, Communications and Public Affairs. Her husband, Jim, will retire next year after 30 years of service. He deployed to the first Gulf War in 1991and in Iraq in 2003.
Jonecia’s brother is an active duty soldier who has served two tours in Afghanistan. Here, he and his family are participating in a Halloween party on his installation. (Of course, we know he’s super hero every day! Jonecia is a Senior Parent Liaison Specialist.
Rich served 30 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, retiring in 2008. He is our Senior Chief of National Programs.
Child Care Aware® of America is also proud to support military families daily through programs supporting all families, including children with special needs.
Today, many military families care for the wounded ill and injured from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and other operations around the world. May we all thank and reflect on their great sacrifice on our behalf this Veterans Day 2013.
